Macbeth still has confidence because he still thinks that no man's sword born from a women will harm him. As a result, he did not know that Macduff was not born from a women, he was cut out of his mother's womb.
Macbeth is still confident of his invicibility because the prophecy proved true when Young Siward could not defeat him. He realizes that the witches, the "juggling fiends" (5, 8, 19) have tricked him with half-truths after Macduff declares that his own Caesarian birth.
since the prophecies have been proven true. Since the prophecy was to declare his invincibility against every man born naturally, he believes that he is invincible against Macduff, until he realizes that he is a man born by caesarian, therefore his killer.
Macbeth does still not know who Macudff really is. He thinks that Macduff is any typical man who cannot defeat him, because he believes Macduff is a naturally born man. What Macbeth doesn't know is that he is wrong, and he should have listened to the apparitions when they told him to beware of Macduff.
