Act IV scene i Macbeth and the witches

What is Macbeth's attitude toward the witches now? How does this attitude contrast with that shown by Macbeth in his first encounter with them? What does this change in attitude show about the deterioration of his character? How does Macbeth react to each apparition that the witches conjure?

When he meets the withces now his attitude towards them has changed. The things that they told him before have shown to come true so now he has more belief in what they say. This also shows that his character is deteriorating since he is becomming much more desperate to hear what they have to say.

Macbeth seems to be more gullible to what the witches say now because of all the things that have happened so far. Since the death of Duncan and Banquo, he has more hope towards what the witches say about him. He has changed the trust he has for these witches. I have to agree with Markus on Macbeth's character becoming destroyed. He is destroying himself with all the trust he has towards the witches.

Macbeth is becoming a darker character passing through a metamorphosis as time passes by. Macbeth has become a dependent, helpless character for assuring his future on what the witches have to say....

At first Macbeth did not believe nor trust the witches and their prophecies, but once he became what they predicted, although he does not want to admit it, he believes whatever the witches predict. He is now is desperate that he believes that the witches could save him from making mistakes and safe from danger. The change in the attitude towards shows how Macbeth now is more into his position and safety and how mad he has become after he has being through, creating a darker character than it used to be. Even worse than Lady Macbeth. Macbeth believes that he is safe because he is going to kill or protect himself from Maduff, and believes that Macduff is an unnatural born child, also believes that there is no way forest will move towards him. Therefore he believes he is safe.

Macbeth is angry and he goes off on a tyrant and sees the ghost of Banquo and he starts a revolution where he is slaughtered and the end.
