Lady Macbeth is one wicked character in Shakespeare’s novel. She is a character that would do anything to get what she wants, and in order to do so she would be able to do whatever it takes. From this, lady Macbeth could be described as a witch to a certain extent because normally a female character is described as a pure creature, instead of pureness Lady Macbeth want to become “unsexed”, so she could do the same job as a man could do, in this case killing another human being. In this scene, the real face of Lady Macbeth is shown but later when Duncan comes to visit Macbeth’s castle, she starts acting this innocent women, which gives the information to the readers of her ambition and determination to make Macbeth the next king.
Lady Macbeth is more ambitious that Macbeth, plus she is also unhearted. She could probably do whatever she wants and not feel any regret about. She seems to be stronger than her husband, which is the reason she would like to be a man. She feels that she can do the job better than Macbeth can.
i agree with you Sachi i think that Lady Macbeth is a totally different person viewed from a superficial point of view, for example when Duncan goes to the castle she acts as a noble lady, pure and saint. But when her true character comes out she is the manipulation and persuasion of the story. Lady Macbeth is a representation of all those people in the world that talk and act behind the back of the victims, but when they face the victims they act innocent and saint....

Sachi, is that fair to say that Lady Macbeth is like a witch becuase she has ambition. Is Macbeth evil then as well? Why must she be pure?

I agree with Joe, she is stronger than Macbeth, and more powerful, she influenced her husband to do what she wanted, like killing Duncan.
